The FB range is a compact 2-in-1 layout: variable-speed PM screw plus an integrated tank, sized for small workshops, retail service bays, and dental or veterinary clinics where floor space is the binding constraint. The FB uses the same permanent-magnet motor and inverter platform as EMAX's larger PM VSD cabinet range, scaled down for 3–10 HP applications. Operating at 1.0 MPa with a small physical footprint (1300 × 510 × 1250 mm), the FB drops into spaces that won't accept a full cabinet compressor. AS1210-certified pressure vessel is standard. For distributors carrying retail and SME-grade lines, the FB is the lowest-tier PM VSD product that still ships with full cabinet-grade certification.

EMAX's only screw compressor that operates on a standard 15Amp single-phase outlet. The fixed-speed direct-on-line drive draws around 15Amp steady-state — compared with around 21Amp for the PM VSD sibling — so it fits a standard workshop outlet without requiring a 25Amp upgrade. Trade-off: no variable-speed energy saving. Best for stable continuous duty in small workshops where electrical supply is the binding constraint.
